RECRUITMENT OF SUPERVISORS, OFFICE ASSISTANTS AND BOOTH OPERATORS
(ON CONTRACT) FOR UCSL

SUPERVISOR
(Hull – Quality Control)
Educational qualification:
a)  3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education. Post diploma qualification in NDT will be an added advantage. Or
b)  ITI in welding trade from a state recognised industrial training institute.
 
Experience:
For the education qualification specified at category a) 7 years of experience in a shipyard or a yard engaged in construction of offshore platforms, or a registered EPC company in the welding function. The last 2 years of experience shall be in supervisory capacity in the fabrication/quality control department.
For the education qualification specified at category b) 15 years of experience in industries as mentioned above, in the fabrication and welding department out of which the last 3 years should be in the supervisory capacity. The number of welding Qualification tests passed (positions 3g or above, base materials etc) during the tenure as welder will be considered as an added qualification.

SUPERVISOR
(Electrical Quality Control)
Educational qualification:
a)  3-year Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics / Electronics/Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with 60% of marks from a State Board of Technical Education.
b)    ITI in Electrician/electronic Mechanical trade from a state recognised Industrial training institute.
 
Experience:
For the education qualification specified at category a) 7 years post qualification experience in Electrical – QC in a Ship Building yard or Ship Repair yard or a yard engaged in construction/repair of offshore platforms or a registered EPC company.
For the educational qualification specified at category b) 15 years of experience, in the above functions of a similar industry as above., out of which the last 3 shall be in the supervisory capacity.
 
Desirable:
The candidate should have good communication skills in English and Hindi

SUPERVISOR (HSE)
Educational qualification:
1)  3-year Diploma in any stream of engineering.
2)    One Year Diploma in Industrial Safety Engineering, preferably from any Government Institutions.
 
Experience:
Five years of practical work experience in Health safety and Environment in Shipyard/ Marine/ Construction/ engineering industry/Oil & Gas/ manufacturing Industry.
 
Desirable:
Should have good communications in Hindi and English.

SUPERVISOR
(Hull – Fabrication)
Educational qualification:
a)  3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education. Or
b)   ITI in sheet metal worker trade /bench fitter/ Fitter trade from a state recognised industrial training institute.
 
Experience:
For the education qualification specified at category a) 7 years of experience in a shipyard or a yard engaged in construction of offshore platforms, or a registered EPC company in the fabrication. The last 2 years of experience shall be in the supervisory capacity in the fabrication function.
For the education qualification specified at category b) 15 years of experience in an organisation as mentioned above, out of which the last 3 years shall be in the supervisory capacity.

Educational Qualification:
a)    3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education. Or
b)    ITI in sheet metal worker trade /bench fitter/fitter trade from a state recognised industrial training institute.
 
Experience:
For the education qualification specified at category a) 7 years of experience in a shipyard or a yard engaged in construction of off shore platforms, or a registered EPC company in the welding function. The last 2 years of experience shall be in supervisory capacity in the welding department.
For the education qualification specified at category b) 15 years of experience in a shipyard or heavy engineering industry, out of which the last 3 years shall be in the supervisory capacity. The number of welding qualification tests passed (positions 3g or above, base materials etc) during the tenure as welder
will be considered as an added qualification.

SUPERVISOR
(Hull-Outfit)
Educational Qualification:
a)  3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education.
b)  ITI in welding trade from a state recognised industrial training institute.
 
Experience:
For the education qualification specified at category a) 7 years of experience in a shipyard or a yard engaged in construction of offshore platforms, or a registered EPC company in the welding function. The last 2 years of experience shall be in supervisory capacity in the welding department.
For the education qualification specified at category b) 15 years of experience in the type of industry as above, out of which the last 3 years shall be in the supervisory capacity. The number of welding qualification tests passed (positions 3g or above, base materials etc) during the tenure as welder will
be considered as an added qualification.

SUPERVISOR
(Piping)
Educational Qualification:
a)  3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education.
b)  ITI in Plumber trade from a state recognised industrial training institute.
 
Experience:
For the education qualification specified at category a) 7 years of experience in a shipyard or a yard engaged in construction of offshore platforms, or a registered EPC company in the Pipe fabrication/erection. The last 2 years of experience shall be in the supervisory capacity in the piping function.
For the education qualification specified at category b) 15 years of experience, in the pipe fabrication and erection department of a similar
industry as above., out of which the last 3 shall be in the supervisory capacity.

The last 2 years of experience shall be in the supervisory capacity in the Electrical/automation/control function.
For the education qualification specified at category b) 15 years of experience, in the above functions of a similar industry as above., out of which the last 3 years shall be in the supervisory capacity.

SUPERVISOR
(Finance)
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration with minimum 60% of marks from a recognized University
 
Experience:
The candidate should have minimum 7 years post qualification experience in relevant field, out of which 2 years as Supervisor / Accountant of Finance functions in a Shipyard or Engineering Company or Commercial Organization or Government/Semi Government Company / Establishment. Experience shall be in matters relating to following functions: Verification of invoices with respect to passing of bills and their processing. Verification of various price comparison statements as related to tenders and its accounting of EMD and release of same Working Knowledge on Taxation- GST/ Income Tax Preparation of financials & various MIS Reports.
 
Desirable:
Proficiency in Computer Applications like SAP, MS Project, MS Office etc

Educational Qualification:

Experience:
Minimum 7 years post qualification experience in matters relating to human resource/ Labour welfare/ contract labour act, Office work, maintenance of files, registers and records in a Public / Private sector /Commercial Organization.
 
Desirable:
Proficiency in Computer Applications like MS Office, Etc

SUPERVISOR
(Painting)
Educational Qualification:
The candidate should have passed minimum Matriculation examination. Any higher educational qualification will be an added advantage. Any certification in surface protection will also be considered as an added advantage.
 
Experience:
Should have 15 years of practical experience as a blaster/ painter / supervisor in surface preparation and painting field, out of which the last 3 years shall be in the supervisory capacity.
Shipyard experience is value added

OFFICE ASSISTANT
(Finance)
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Bachelors of Business administration, with minimum 60% of marks from a recognized University
 
Experience:
The candidate should have minimum two years post qualification experience in matters relating to Office work, Data entry, Record and Report Generation, maintenance of files, registers and records in a Public or Private sector Commercial Organization

Desirable:
Proficiency in Computer Applications like MS Office, Excel, Tally

ITI in sheet metal worker/ Electrician/ fitter/painter trade from a State Board of Technical Education.
 
Experience:
The candidate should have a minimum 3 years’ experience in any manufacturing/construction industry, where semi-automatic equipments are employed for production.
 
Desirable:
Experience in blasting and painting will be an added advantage.
